One thing is mandatory though – you must love the outdoor life. Whether you are hiking in the mountains, enjoying a mini-cruise crossing the Arctic Circle, participating in the age old tradition of dog sledding, feeling the freedom on the mountain safari or being mesmerized by the Northern Lights – unforgettable encounters with the Arctic await you. Dog sledge tour Dog sledding is a classic way to experience Arctic nature. Spending half a day riding along with Greenlandic sled dogs is something you will never forget. Sisimiut is a hot spot for snow mobile tours. The place has the largest accessible back country, and the mountainous area offers the possibility for tours with snow mobiles.
