Puffin watching tour by boat – just south of Nuuk
A modern boat takes you through the beautiful Nuuk Fiord to the small island where we will go looking for puffins. The puffins lay their eggs during the summer. The puffins can be recognized on their beautiful beaks. They are smaller birds, at around 30 cm. They spend around 7-8 months at the open sea, and only remain on the islands when they lay their eggs. We cannot guarantee to see the puffins as they are wild animals, and the weather, predators or simply nature itself can be a difficult co-player.
Important Note: When you are going out on an adventure, it is highly recommended to bring both camera and binoculars. It is also advisable to bring warm clothes. On this boat there is heated cabin, but prepare and bring clothes that keep you warm, when you want to sit outside on the front deck. A neck warmer and glowes is always good.
