Daytour to Kapisillit
Embark on a scenic journey through the breathtaking Nuuk Fjord aboard a modern, comfortable boat, as we make our way toward the small fishing and hunting settlement of Kapisillit—reached after approximately 2½ hours of sailing.
Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by towering, ancient mountains—some of the oldest in the world. These dramatic landscapes are not only rich in geological history but have also long inspired Greenlandic artists, who draw on the land’s natural materials and raw beauty in their work.
Upon arrival in Kapisillit, take a peaceful walk through the settlement, home to around 60 residents. Life here moves at a slower pace, closely connected to nature and tradition. A highlight of the visit is the charming church, beautifully positioned with sweeping views over the fjord and surrounding peaks.
As we continue through the village, we pass the local school and small general store, where residents gather and purchase their daily essentials. These moments offer a rare and authentic glimpse into everyday life in one of Greenland’s most remote communities.
After exploring Kapisillit, we return by boat through the majestic Nuuk Fjord, giving you one last chance to take in the silence, scale, and beauty of this extraordinary Arctic landscape.

When you go out on an adventure, it is strongly recommended to bring both a camera and binoculars. It is also advisable to bring warm clothes. On this boat there is a heated cabin, but prepare and bring clothes that keep you warm, when you want to sit outside on the front deck.
