Visit the settlement Kapisillit in the Nuuk fiord
Embark on a scenic journey through the breathtaking Nuuk Fjord aboard a modern and comfortable boat, as we head toward the small fishing and hunting settlement of Kapisillit, reached after approximately 2½ hours of sailing.
The fjord itself is flanked by ancient mountains, some of the oldest in the world, rich in geological history and a source of inspiration and materials for local Greenlandic artists.
Upon arrival in Kapisillit, we’ll go for a peaceful walk through the settlement, home to around 60 inhabitants. A highlight is the charming church, offering a spectacular view over the fjord and surrounding mountains. On the way back through town, we pass by the local school and village store, where residents purchase their daily necessities, giving you a glimpse into life in one of Greenland’s small, remote communities.
Before returning to Nuuk, we make a stop in Qooqqut, a beautiful fjord area surrounded by towering peaks, offering one last chance to enjoy the stunning landscapes and peaceful atmosphere of Greenland’s wilderness.
